Current Vacancies - Helpdesk Technician

We are currently recruiting six Helpdesk Technician positions to augment our current team based in our offices in Ennis, Co. Clare. (Role will be remote initially with a view to moving back into office long-term.)

  • Our Help Desk is open 6 days a week. Therefore, you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week on a light shift rota between the hours of 7:00 – 20:00.

As a Helpdesk Technician, you will:

  • Be monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of our customers.
  • Diagnosing hardware and software faults, solve technical and applications problems.
  • Install and configure computer systems remotely, by remote connections to the customer network via secure connections, or sometimes by instructing customers over the telephone.
  • A Helpdesk Technician’s role may span one or more areas of expertise, this will depend on their ability to learn and absorb complex technologies.

To be considered as a Helpdesk Technician, you will need:

  • A proven third level qualification in an IT related discipline. The minimum qualification is that of CompTIA, but those with higher qualifications, up to and including degree level should also apply, as this role is used to advance suitable candidates’ careers.
  • This position is suitable as a first job for recent graduates; however, we require one or two of these positions to be filled by people who have previous experience of Helpdesk support.
  • Excellent communication skills are important, especially being fluent in speaking and writing English.
